A Heritage Bank manager, a cashier with the bank and two other persons were gruesomely murdered by men of the underworld. The armed robbers also carted away with an undisclosed sum of money in Otun Ekiti, Moba Local Government Area of Ekiti State on Friday, November 11th.
The robbery incident that lasted for almost an hour also took the lives of a security guard attached to the palace of the paramount ruler of the town, Adedapo Popoola and another guard at Unity Bank.
Ekiti State Police Command spokesman, Alberto Adeyemi confirmed the incident and that bodies of the victims have been deposited at the Usi-Ekiti General Hospital.
“We have commenced investigations into the incident and hope that the perpetrators would soon be apprehended,” he added.
