[PHOTOS] FGGC Oyo Students Mourn Death Of Colleagues Crushed To Death By Truck

Students of the Federal Government Girls College, Oyo on Wednesday expressed sadness over the death of their four colleagues and a driver crushed to death in a fatal accident at Sabo market in the state.

The tragic incident occurred on Sunday at the popular market after a truck carrying garri, fell on a mini-bus conveying the students to their school after a mid-term break, killing four students and the driver.

The deceased students, John Olubukola (SS3), Giwa Taibat (SS3), Ladipo Mojisola (SS1) and Ibirogba Maryam (JS3) while five others reportedly sustained injury.

The students in their hundreds carried placards and banners calling for the immediate reconstruction of the road, relocating Sabo market and lamented the bad condition of the road which was said to be part of the cause of the tragic incident.

They, however, called on all the concerned authorities to relocate the market and fix the bad road to prevent recurrence.
