Kelechi Iheanacho On Target To Salvage A Draw For Super Eagles Against Corsica

Iheanacho Celebrates

Manchester City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho continued to prove his importance to his National team as his late goal salvaged a draw for the Super Eagles against Corsica.

The Gernot Rohr tutored team went behind very early in the game played on Friday evening as Mandrichi had converted from the spot after new boy, Tyrone Ebuehi handled the ball in the penalty box.

Even though the Eagles had many chances in the first half, they failed to convert any of the chances.

Iheanacho howewer rescued his team as he converted a penalty in the 80th minute to draw Nigeria level after Etebo had been fouled in the opponent box.

The draw means Rohr has not lost any game since he took over as coach of the national team. He would look to extend this record when they play Togo in another friendly before the Afcon qualifier against South Africa on June 10.
