‘A Disgrace To #nottooyoungtorule Bill’ – Yahaya Bello Under Fire Over Civil Servant’s Suicide Due To Non-Payment Of Salaries

Kogi state is in the news for the wrong reason once again after a director in the state civil service, Edward Soje committed suicide by hanging himself on a tree in Lokoja, the state capital.

The 54-year-old civil servant decided to take his life barely 10 days after his wife of 17 years gave birth to a set of male triplets in a private hospital in Abuja.

It was reported that he killed himself because he didn’t have the resources to cater to his new needs as he had not been paid for the past nine months.

The state Governor, Yahaya Bello, has come under attack from Nigerians as he was the same person that declared a public holiday following the long-awaited return of President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday, August 21.

Bello who happens to be the youngest governor at 42 seems not to do differently from the old governors ruling their respective states, which brings into mockery the #nottooyoungtorule bill.
