President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday, October 23, ordered the immediate disengagement from service of embattled ex-chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms, Abdulrasheed Maina, from the civil service.
Maina who has been declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over an alleged N2bn pension fraud was secretly reinstatedand promoted to the position of director in charge of Human Resources in the Ministry of Interior.
Recall he was dismissed in 2013 by the Federal Civil Service Commission following a recommendation by the Office of the Head of Service.
