Some hoodlums, aka area boys, stormed the Olusosun Dumpsite, Ojota, Lagos, where security agents, led by the state Acting Commissioner of Police, Edgar Imohimi, destroyed several bags of drugs.
The miscreants swooped on the drugs when the fire subsided and had wanted to get as many quantities as they could, but they were prevented from doing so by police operatives.
The gun-wielding operatives quickly repelled them and re-fuelled the fire.
A mammoth crowd had besieged the dump to witness Imohimi destroy the drugs.
It was gathered that the drugs, which comprised cannabis, skunk, arizona and codeine, had an estimated street value of N50m.

Men of the Nigerian Army, Lagos State Task Force, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, the Lagos State Fire Service and the Lagos State Transport Management Authority participated in the exercise.
According to PUNCH, the narcotics were recovered during police raids on the Oshodi, Akala, and Itire areas of the state.
