Tragedy struck yesterday, November 27, as a gas tank exploded at the Okpokiri Service Staion, Orji Owerri, Imo State, killing four persons and injuring many others.
According to reports, some persons who had come in from Abuja to carry out some work on the gas tank were busy working when the explosion occured.

Bodies of some of the victims were mutilated and scattered in the station where the incident happened.
The administrative block of the fuel station was shattered in the explosion.
