Following the dismissal of over 21,000 teachers by the Kaduna State Government led by Governor Nasir El-Rufai for failing primary four questions, workers led by Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), President, Ayuba Wabba are demanding that the government should rescind its decision or have the entire labour force to contend with.
The alarming mediocrity of the teachers supposed to impart knowledge to the leaders of tomorrow and the protest by the teachers have generated an uproar on the social media.
Here Are Photos Of Primary 4 Exam Questions Failed By Kaduna Teachers
Below are some of the reactions;
Peter Obi was IMPEACHED for initiating core reforms in Education in Anambra.
He fought back/won. Anambra Teachers/Students are better off today that he did.
Education Reform is not an easy task but it IS NEEDED. Kaduna Govt/NUT should find solutions & NOT compromise COMPETENCE

If Kaduna governemnt changes their decision to sack teachers who failed the competency test, I’ll give up on Nigeria education.
DEATH!

I have mulled this over in my mind. What the Kaduna State teachers who could not score up to 75% in the Primary 4 test they were made to take need is not training. Training scales up what you already know. What they need is to be sent back to restart Primary School.

Teachers in Kaduna were given tests meant for Primary 4 pupils and those who didn’t make up to 75%; were sacked. Now, the teachers are carrying placards saying ‘examination is not the true test of knowledge’.
I’m tired of this country

There are people here more concerned about the livelihood of UNQUALIFIED teachers than the future of millions of children in Kaduna. Nigeria is nothing if not a paradox.
— Babanla (@biolakazeem) November 9, 2017
The future of the children has a greater importance and essence for Kaduna state than Elrufai’s 2nd term. https://t.co/o28cBRRHoQ

Kaduna is the most educationally improved and advanced state in Northern Nigeria. If you have over 21K teachers who failed a primary 4 test, what is then the fate of teachers in other Northern states?
— A.S. Aruwa (@MusadiqZ) November 9, 2017
In Kaduna, the teachers who set tests & exams, mark scripts & ask students to repeat are also the ones saying, “EXAMINATION IS NOT A TRUE TEST OF KNOWLEDGE”.
Isn’t our educational system a joke? http://pic.twitter.com/oZRxtRURm1

If you really feel for the teachers who have lost their jobs in Kaduna, you can employ them as lesson tutors for your kids. Or recommend them for your friends and family.
Shey, you can always train them as an employer.

El Rufai is TRYING TO reform education in Kaduna therefore he will make a good President for Nigeria…

#ElRufai Do you want a glimpse into why Nigeria is the way it is? Check the NIGERIANS protesting the retrenchment of teachers who can’t identify a square from a rectangle on twitter. #Kaduna

I can’t understand how people are questioning the sacking of those teachers in Kaduna. The responses to those test questions were given by “qualified teachers” well above the age of 30. How did they get employed in the first place.
