Five suspected kidnappers were gunned down by policemen in Ikom, Cross River State on Wednesday morning, November 8.
According to reports, they had kidnapped a recently widowed prominent woman and all efforts to make them collect N5million ransom instead of N50million, fell on deaf ears.

They were however ambushed by policemen, this morning, and the victim rescued alive.
