A tragic accident at Mechanic Village along OGTV/Ajebo road in Abeokuta, Ogun State claimed the lives of seven people including a pregnant woman.
According to eyewitnesses, they were all crushed to death on Tuesday night, November 28 after a white Volvo truck collided with a red Nissan blue bird.
The Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), in Ogun state, Clement Oladele, said the truck with registration number: KJA 731 XP had brake failure and lost control which led to a head-on collision with the blue bird car with registration number: ED 638 EKY, coming from opposite direction.

Nine persons including seven males, a pregnant woman and one child were involved in the accident. The pregnant woman, the child and five males died in the accident. The remains of the deceased persons has been deposited at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Abeokuta, mortuary while the injured ones are being treated at the same hospital. The driver of the truck who caused the accident fled the scene after the incident.
