The Mathematics guru purportedly argued that the Global Financial System is unfair. Sergei Marvrodi’s notion for institutionalising  MMM as a mainstream financial pyramid was said to destroy the current financial system, which he described as stiffen and unfair with no room for something new to take its place.

Below are a few things you should know about him.

1.) Sergei Marvrodi was born in Moscow 11 August, 1955

2.) In his childhood, he was diagnosed with a bilateral heart defect

3.) He studied in the Moscow State Institute of Electronics and Mathematics

4.) Marvrodi was then elected as the deputy of State Duma obtaining parliamentary immunity

5.) He was the founder of the МММ series of pyramid schemes.

6.) Mavrodi declared MMM bankrupt on 22 December 1997, then disappeared, and was on the run until his arrest in 2003.

7.) Marvrodi was a Russian financial fraudster

8.) Mavrodi was convicted in a Russian court of defrauding 10,000 investors out of 110 million rubles ($4.3 million) in 2007

9.) Mavrodi published the book Temptation; Seven thousand copies of the book were published in 2008

10.) He died of heart problems at the age of 62 in Moscow
