1. Governors of the All Progressives Congress, APC, will hold another closed-door meeting next week with President Muhammadu Buhari after their Tuesday’s meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari failed to address the current crisis in the party, particularly the issue of tenure elongation.
3. Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau, on Tuesday, said the Federal Government was mapping out strategies to halt the incessant killings in Birnin-Gwari in Kaduna State. Dambazau made the remarks during a visit to the troubled area to assess the security situation. He said that government was very concerned about the situation in Kaduna State, particularly the Birnin-Gwari axis, and would do everything to restore order.
4. Real Madrid forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, Tuesday broke yet another record with his first goal in their Champions League quarter-final clash with Juventus on Tuesday. Some poor defending from Juve in the 3rd minute of the game created a chance for Isco acres on the left flank and he put the ball for Ronaldo in the box, which he scored. This means Ronaldo has become the first player in the history of Champions League to score in ten consecutive games of the competition. Juventus were defeated 3:0.

5. Officers of the Nigeria police have apprehended an Ogun state based cleric who allegedly killed his secret lover and buried her corpse within his church premises. The pastor who is said to be in charge of Holy Gathering Evangelical Church of God, Elijah Oluwatobiloba, is now in the net of the Ogun state police command. The cleric claimed that he carried out the act for reasons known to “him and God”.
7. At least, two persons have been reportedly killed and a community leader kidnapped by gunmen in Rundele, Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State. The incident happened during the weekend when a cultural hunting expedition ended in a clash between two rival cults in Mgbuelia village of Rundele.
8. Former Abia State Governor, Orji Uzor Kalu, has blasted the former President, Olusegun Obasanjo and other critics of President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration. He described Obasanjo as someone who took no criticism and replied to no letter while in office.
9. Former Police Commissioner in Lagos, Mr Abubakar Tsav, on Tuesday apologised to Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom, for falsely accusing him of massive corruption.
Tsav issued two letters of apology on Tuesday where he addressed one to the Tor Tiv and the other to Ortom, in which he apologised for the “false whistleblowing letters”. He claimed that the delay in issuing the apology was to enable him to study the situation.
