Since the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced the outcome of the recall exercise of Dino Melaye, a senator representing Kogi west, social media has been filled with various reactions.
Announcing the result of the verification of signatures – one of the steps in recalling a lawmaker- exercise on Sunday morning, Ukertor Moti, the declaration officer for the exercise, said a referendum — the next step in the recall process — would not hold.
Many constituents did not partake in the verification exercise on Saturday.
