Imo State Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha has fulfilled his promise as he presented brand new Kia Rio saloon cars to the three Imo Rio 2016 gold medalists along side their coaches.
The presentation which was made on Thursday, September 29th at the Govt House by the Chief of Staff, Hon. Ugwumba Uche Nwosu on behalf of the governor.
The olympians were also presented with a cheque of N1 million and a plot of land document to one of the medalists, Orji Josephin Precious who has won many gold medals in the past.
However, fellow Gold medalist from Imo, Lauritta Onye, was not among those rewarded as she had issues with the state she represented.
In a vote of thanks, Orji Josephin Precious appreciated the governor for fulfilling his promise today.
