Nigerian lawmaker, Senator Mustapha Bukar who represents Katsina North in the Senate was reported dead after suffering from a brief illness.
Family sources said Mr Bukar, who represents President Buhari hometown in the Senate, died on Wednesday morning after battling an undisclosed ailment.

Details of the place or hospital where he died are sketchy as at the time of filing this report.
A civil engineer by training, Mr Bukar died at the age of 63.

On March 17, a senator representing Bauchi South, Ali Wakili, died at the age of 58 after a brief illness.
